Latvian League finals, Game 5: May 20, 2012
VEF Riga pounded BK Ventspils 100-70 to win its second straight Latvian League championship, closing out the series 4-1 before its home crowd. Riga completely dominated the contest, opening up a 28-14 lead after the first quarter and piling on points from there. Six Riga players scored in double figures, led by Gatis Jahovics, who tallied 18, including 3 of 3 from downtown, while Kristaps Janicenoks and Kaspars Berzins had 14 apiece, and Antanas Kavaliauskas and Curtis Millage added 13 each. Mamadi Diane paced Ventspils with 14 points in defeat.
