PARTIZAN mt:s tabs NIJT legend Musli
Partizan mt:s Belgrade bolstered its frontcourt by inking center Dejan Musli to a three-year deal on Wednesday. Musli (2.13 meters, 21 years old) arrives from Mega Vizura, where he averaged 9.1 points and 6.4 rebounds in 13 Serbian League games this season. Musli started an eventful 2011-12 season with Baloncesto Fuenlabrada, sent on loan from Caja Laboral, the club which he returned to before joining Mega Vizura. Musli started his career in Kragujevac before joining FMP's junior team in 2006. He saw limited playing time with FMP's first team but became a superstar in junior competitions, dominating the Nike International Junior Tournament in the late 2000s. He led FMP to win back-to-back NIJT titles in 2008 and 2009, being chosen as the tournament MVP twice. Musli also helped FMP to make it to the NIJT final in 2007. He had 31 points and 17 rebounds in the 2009 NIJT title game against Lietuvos Rytas in Berlin, Germany. Musli led the Serbian U18 national team to win the European Championships in France and was chosen to the All-Tournament team. He had previously led Serbia to lift the 2007 U16 European Championships in Greece, earning tournament MVP honors. Musli already played 2 Euroleague games with Caja Laboral, both against Partizan, his new club.
