The Take

Fenerbahce will qualify for the Top 16 with a win and Strasbourg looks for its first road triumph against a team it already beat by 21 points at home. Fenerbahce has good defensive numbers, allowing its opponents just a 27.1% three-point shooting percentage and forcing them to commit 22.3 fouls per game. Strasbourg hardly gets to the foul line (11.8 free throws attempted per game), but ranks third in two-pointers made (22.2). Kyle Weems had 22 points in Strasbourg, but he won't have it easy against Luigi Datome, who has averaged 18 points in the last two games. Fenerbahce must use its frontcourt's athleticism with Ekpe Udoh, Pero Antic and Jan Vesely in the paint against Vladimir Golubovic, Romeo Travis and Romain Duport. A pair of of the best point guards in recent weeks, Rodrigue Beaubois of Strasbourg and Bobby Dixon of Fenerbahce, will go face to face. A recovered Bogdan Bogdanovic and Nikola Kalinic will see extended playing time at the wings if Kostas Sloukas remains sidelined. Strasbourg has been running its offense through Louis Campbell and Jeremy Leloup, but diversifying its options will make the visitors more unpredictable. Even though Fenerbahce is the heavy favorite, expect Strasbourg to keep fighting for a Top 16 spot.

Ekpe Udoh has 12 consecutive free throws in Euroleague action.

Udoh has blocked at least 1 shot in four consecutive games.

Bobby Dixon’s debut Euroleague season was in 2009-10 at ASVEL Basket, where he played under current

Dixon’s scoring has risen in each of his last four Euroleague games from 6 in Round 3 to a career high 25 points last week.

Pero Antic has played better on the road this season than at home. He’s averaged 11.7 points on 7 of 14 three-point shooting (50%) for a performance index rating of 13 on the road, but just 3.7 points on 1-of-6 three-point shooting (16.7%) for a performance index rating of 6 at home.

Strasbourg has lost its last 15 Euroleague road games.

Jeremy Leloup has made 25 straight free throws in Euroleague action dating back to his time as a Le Mans reserve in December 2008.

Leloup has recorded at least 1 steal in seven straight Euroleague games.

Roddy Beaubois has made at least 1 three-pointer in six straight Euroleague games.

Beaubois has made each of the 11 free throws he’s attempted this season.

Beaubois has averaged 16.3 points, 3.7 assists and a performance index rating of 16 at home this season, but just 8.3 points, 1.3 assists and an index rating of 3.7 on the road.

Matt Howard was a teammate of Fenerbahce big man Pero Antic and guard Kostas Sloukas during the early part of 2011-12 season with Olympiacos Piraeus.

Mardy Collins was a teammate of Sloukas at Olympiacos during the 2013-14 campaign.

Quotes Head Coaches

Fenerbahce Istanbul
"First of all, I hope that we will have our people to help us in this important game. We need them. Strasbourg beat us very easy in the first leg in France, and for sure we must keep that in mind especially because they have showen they are a very good team by beating Real Madrid. They were able to turn the game around. They are a serious team with good players and a clear philosophy. We need to play weel if we want to beat them."
"This game will be very difficult. Fenerbahce will want to win to catch up after their defeat during the first game. We must enjoy this game to raise our level... Without knowing if this will be enough to beat them. It will be very important to fight much more than we did on our last away game against Khimki Moscow. It is necessary that we show a conqueror face on the road. Up until now we lacked strength outside. It will be necessary to show great solidarity against a great team that will play in his arena, pushed by their fans."

Fenerbahce Istanbul
"We're looking forward to this game. We remember what happened the last time we played them, so we aer looking to play different this time around."
"Fenerbahce is one of the three best teams in Europe. Their only defeat was against us. We know that we will play a team that is hungry for revenge. They will be supported by their fans in a crazy atmosphere that promises to be amazing. We will have to be ready for a tough game, a huge battle. This game will be difficult. We'll have to be very concentrated in defense hoped for something ... We must be more consistent to play a better game on the road than the games against Munich, Moscow or Belgrade."
