Panathinaikos loses James to hand injury
Panathinaikos Athens has lost one of its major off-season additions for the foreseeable future after Mike James underwent surgery this weekend for an injured hand. James, one of the revelations of last season as Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz reached the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four, hurt himself during practice on Saturday, cutting his right hand. The would required surgery and it is thought that James will miss an estimated two months on the courts. James averaged 10 points, 27 assists and 2.6 rebounds in his first full EuroLeague season, putting up his highest numbers - 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists - in the playoffs against Panathinaikos.
