Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade added depth to its frontcourt with the addition of forward Deon Thompson until the end of the season, the club announced on Monday. Thompson (2.03 meters, 28 years old) has spent the first part of the season with Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul, where in a role off the bench he averaged 4.4 points and 2.3 rebounds while appearing in 13 games in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague action. This is the fifth EuroLeague season for Thompson, who previously played in the competition with Union Olimpija Ljubljana, ALBA Berlin, and two campaigns with FC Bayern Munich. During his professional career he also played for Ikaros Kallitheas of Greece and Liaoning Jiebao Hunters in China. Thompson helped Olimpija win the Slovenian Cup title in 2012. He lifted the German Cup trophy with ALBA in 2013, and a year later helped Bayern win its first German League title in almost half a century.
