EuroLeague week on Twitter

With the things heating up as the regular season is approaching its first quarter mark, it was a special week for three All-EuroLeague players who had a chance in Round 6 to see some of their old friends. Check out our selection of tweets from around the EuroLeague.

WHEN FAN SENDS A BIRTHDAY SURPRISE: A fan made a happy birthday video for the injured Fenerbahce Istanbul forward Nikola Kalinic, and he really like it.

WHEN FRIENDS COME TO TOWN: All-EuroLeague guards Nando De Colo saw many friends when Valencia Basket arrived to play CSKA Moscow, including a Valencia club legend and long-time staff member Alfonso Castilla. This was the first time De Colo played against his former club, where he spent three seasons, made his EuroLeague debut and won the 2010 EuroCup title.

RECOVERY PROCESS: “Thanks to some great teammates and staff, I think my recovery is gonna be alright. Big thank you to my Real Madrid fam”, wrote Ognjen Kuzmic after getting an essential piece of equipment for his quick knee injury recovery.

IT WAS A HOMECOMING IN BAMBERG…where Brose Bamberg had a warm welcome for its former stars Nicolo Melli and Brad Wanamaker, both with Fenerbahce now.

WINNERS’ CORNER: Wanamaker and Melli helped Fenerbahce defeat Brose, and another big road winner was Zalgiris Kaunas. Meanwhile, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv downed the visiting Real Madrid, and fans had a lot of love for DeShaun Thomas after the game.
