Baskonia loses Garino to broken jaw
Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz will have one fewer player to battle with for a while as newcomer Patricio Garino will be out up to six weeks with a broken jaw. Garino (2.10 meters, 24 years old) has appeared in the last four games for Baskonia, but has not scored yet in his debut Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season. He was injured in a domestic game over the weekend, taking a strong hit to the jaw that team doctors determined to be a fracture on Monday. Garino will need an operation to fix the problem and will miss from four to six weeks of action, the club said.
