Valencia Basket brought fresh blood, and invested in its future with the addition of guard Sergi Garcia who signed until the end of 2020-21 season, the club announced on Saturday. Garcia (1.93 meters, 20 years old) arrives from a fellow Spanish side Tecnyconta Zaragoza, where he posted 9.5 points. 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals per Spanish League game this season. Despite the young age, Garcia is already in his fifth professional season in the Spanish League, having made his debut with Zaragoza back in 2013 when he was only 16 years old, and a year later has made his first of 10 appearances in the 7DAYS EuroCup. Garcia has also played with CTE Baleares and EL Olivar Zaragoza. He has also been a member of Spanish national teams in youth categories, and has won a gold medal at U16 European Championships in 2013 and gold at the U20 European Championships in 2016. Now, Garcia is poised to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut, too.
