AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan reached a new agreement with center Arturas Gudaitis to keep working together until the end of the 2020-21 season, the club announced Monday. Gudaitis (2.08 meters, 24 years old) is averaging 9.8 points on a EuroLeague-best 72.9% two-point shots (70-of-96) and 5.7 rebounds in 22 games off the bench this season. In per-40 minute basis, Gudaitis ranks eighth overall in rebounds (1.4) and fifth in performance index rating (28.8). He joined Milan from Lithuanian powerhouse Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius last fall. With Rytas, Gudaitis led the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season in blocked shots (2.0 bpg.) and was second in rebounding (8.3 rpg.) during the 2016-17 season, when he also posted 13.5 points on 57.8% two-point shooting. Despite his age, Gudaitis is a seasoned veteran who has been playing professionally since he was 17. He debuted in the EuroLeague as a 20-year old with Zalgiris Kaunas, where he spent two seasons before joining Rytas in 2015. Gudaitis also represented the Lithuanian national team at EuroBasket 2017. His numbers have been equally solid in the Italian League, averaging 10.8 points and 7.9 rebounds in 17 games off the bench, playing less than 20 minutes per night.
