This week may herald the first Final Four ever to take place in Belgrade, but the city's influence on the pinnacle event of each European club basketball season could not be any greater. Belgrade: Cradle of Basketball, the latest title in The Insider EuroLeague Documentary Series, reveals how a boundless passion for the game in the Serbian capital explains the unprecedented success that the city's players and coaches have enjoyed at the Final Four over the years.

From the origins of Serbian basketball at the iconic Kalemegdan Fortress to the heights of the glory, as when Partizan won the EuroLeague in 1992 on an unforgettable buzzer-beater, Belgrade: Cradle of Basketball not only takes viewers on a trip through the history of the city's beating basketball heart, but visits with a long line of the protagonists of the game there.

Veteran basketball expert and author Vladimir Stankovic conducts a tour that reaches from the founding fathers of the sport in Serbia to the latest Turkish Airlines EuroLeague stars of the city. Along the way he speaks with legends like Borislav Stankovic, Dusan Ivkovic, Zeljko Obradovic, Bozidar Maljkovic, Predrag Danilovic, Svetislav Pesic and Dusko Vujosevic – among many more.
