Panathinaikos announces guard Kitchen
The Greens announced a new addition for the upcoming season, none other than point guard Derwin Kitchen, who inked a one-year deal with his new club on Sunday. Panathinaikos keeps an option to extend his contract until the end of the 2013-14 season.. Kitchen (1.93 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Maccabi Rishon LeZion of Israel, where last season he averaged 14.9 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game in his 32 appearances in the Israeli League. It was his debut season as a pro after he played college ball in Iowa Western and Florida State from 2007 to 2011. He was elected for the Israeli All-Star Game last season also and reached the Israeli Cup final with his team.
