Ratiopharm Ulm lands Allan Ray
Qualifying Round team Ratiopharm Ulm announced on Friday the addition of guard Allan Ray for the upcoming season. Ray (1.88 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Pau-Orthez of France, where last season he averaged 15.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 22 French League games, even though he had started the season in Slovenia with KRKA Novo Mesto. Ray played college ball at Villanova from 2002 to 2006, always a starter with solid numbers. In 2006-07 he played with the Boston Celtics and the following season he landed in Europe making his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with Lottomatica Roma. Midway through the 2008-09 season he switched teams with Carife Ferrara and in 2010-11 he joined Fabi Shoes Montegranaro. At the same time, Ulm also announced the waiving of Roderick Trice. The team will make its debut in the Qualifying Round against Unics Kazan.
