Czech League, Season 2009-10
The Czech League kicks off with one rock-solid candidate to successfully defend its title, CEZ Basketball Nymburk, which will look to lift its seventh consecutive trophy. Nymburk has amassed an incredible 261-15 Czech League record in the six years, so it would come as no surprise to see the team dominating the competition in the 2009-10 season. Nymburk kept Arthur Lee, Blake Schilb, Petr Benda, Ladislav Sokolovsky and Justin Gray from last year and inked Vincent Hunter and Ron Lewis. Last year's finalists, Geofin Novy Jicin, landed point guard Levell Sanders and kept stars Kenneth Walker and Robert Sarovic. Meanwhile Prostejov and Decin will be looking to break the 2009-10 Czech League script, too. Prostejov will be led by Hurl Beechum III, Andrius Slezas and Radoslav Hyzy. William Hatcher and Lavontay Henderson will try to get Decin back into the semifinals. Karma Basket Podebrady, BK Nova Hut Ostrava, USK Praha and Synthesia Pardubice will try to step up and challenge for a semifinals spot too, before mounting a charge to dethrone the mighty Nymburk dynasty.
