Head Coaches

LASO, PABLO
Real Madrid
"We were weak at first and until the second half did not play well. But, after this, we did things better. Anyway, we have a lot of work ahead. Zalgiris is a strong team. We could not see the spaces and score easy during the first half. Finally, after the break, we were able to move forward in the game."
KRAPIKAS, GINTARAS
Zalgiris Kaunas
"Well, it is supposed that Madrid is not in the best shape, they have new players and some things to fix. Maybe for this reason we could be close to them. I can be happy with my team, with the young players that are with us, because it means that Zalgiris's system works, but of course, playing at a high level for these young players takes time. About Real Madrid, we will have the chance to face them again in Kaunas. Then, we will see what can we do against them."

Players

CARROLL, JAYCEE
Real Madrid
"They came to play hard and hustle from the very beginning, and were really physical on defense. It was hard for us at the beginning to get used to it and we had to change our playing style, but we improved in the second half. We will keep playing the same way, but we have a lot of new players. It is taking us some time to learn what everyone can do. We have different rotations and are looking for the best ones."
RODRIGUEZ, SERGIO
Real Madrid
"It was a difficult game for us. We didn't play the way we wanted, Zalgiris played with more intensity than us for the better part of the game. It is still early, we have to adjust to each other, practice hard and play better in upcoming games. We were not doing things well and we knew it. We have to focus when things are not going well and improve our defense to be able to play the way we want."
ANDERSON, JAMES
Zalgiris Kaunas
"We missed some free throws, we had some turnovers...we were punished for these mistakes. But we showed that we are ready to play against any team in Europe. This game shows to Europe that we can do damage."
