If you happen to pass by Palau Sant Jordi tomorrow, drop by to have a look at Spyros Magounis. The Greek forward of AEK Athens junior team, that also play for the first team of AEK, gave the best individual performance of the first day in the El Corte Inglés Euroleague Junior Tournament. Magounis was only one rebound short of a triple double. 35 points (14/16 from the field), 10 steals, 9 rebounds that combined to 52 VAL points.

AEK opened the game with an 8-0 run and didn't look back until the final buzzer. Magounis scored more points than the entire team of CSKA in the first quarter and completed a perfect first half with 20 points without a single miss from the field (8/8). AEK's lead at the end of the 2nd quarter was 39-30. Good performance by Igor Tkachenko, the son of the giant Valdimir, in the 3rd quarter, and Sergey Borodin in the 4th didn't allow AEK to make a big run, but CSKA wasn't able to put the Greek lead in danger. Dusan Sakota, son of AEK's first team coach - Dragan Sakota, joined Magounis in the last quarter and secured the first win of AEK, 77-64.
