London Towers cruised to an easy 86-61 victory against Frankfurt Skyliners in their opening Euroleague encounter behind a game-high 21 points and 13 rebounds from Kendrick Warren. Frankfurt came into the game without regular playmakers Kai Nurnberger and Pascal Roller and were unable to generate early baskets. Towers' Tom Wideman scored 10 of his side's points in an early 18-5 lead and successive threes from Warren and Eric Taylor, twice) in the second quarter paced Towers on their way to a 43-33 half-time advantage. Walter Palmer began the second half with the first seven points of a 9-0 Frankfurt run, but Taylor and Warren inspired a 12-1 run in response that left Frankfurt 59-45 adrift after three quarters. Three Frankfurt players fouled out in the last quarter as Towers widened the lead to the eventual 25-point margin. Fittingly, Warren scored the last points of the game with two free throws with four seconds remaining.
