U18 Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius reached the Euroleague Basketball ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT Kaunas final by defeating U18 CSKA Moscow 80-61 to take top honors in Group B with a 3-0 record. Simas Jarumbauskas picked up 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the 2012 continental champs, who will face U18 Stellazzurra Rome in the Kaunas final with the winner booking its ticket for the ANGT Finals in May at the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four in Belgrade. Deividas Sirvydis added 15 points for Rytas, which last reached the ANGT Finals in 2016. CSKA dropped to 1-2 in Group B despite Denis Kovalev scoring 18 points on 6 three-pointers and Pavel Zakharov adding 15 points.

Marek Blazevic picked up 5 quick points as Rytas jumped ahead 7-4. Things remained tight with a Kovalev three-pointer giving CSKA a 13-15 lead. Rytas answered with the first mini-run of the game as Gediminas Mokseckas hit for 4 points in an 8-2 spurt for a 21-17 cushion, which was 21-18 after 10 minutes. Rytas had the better start to the second quarter with Sirvydis and Sarunas Valunta both scoring 4 points in building a 33-24 lead. Kovalev nailed 3 three-pointers to knot the game at 35-35 but Rytas answered with the next 6 points and led 43-36 at the break. A Sirvydis three-point play increased the lead to 48-40 only to see Zakharov score twice and Kovalev drain 2 more triples to push CSKA ahead 51-52. Jarumbauskas countered with the final 5 points of the quarter for a 56-52 Rytas advantage after 30 minutes. The lead was only 61-57 when Rytas reeled off a 12-2 surge for a 73-59 lead with less than 2 minutes to play to decide the game.
