Barcelona thrashes Darussafaka in team victory
FC Barcelona Lassa grabbed its third consecutive win by thrashing Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul 97-65 at home in Palau Blaugrana on Friday. Barcelona improved to 9-7 in the standings, good enough to rank sixth overall. Darussafaka is at the bottom of the standings with a 2-14 record. Thomas Heurtel led the winners with 18 points. Kevin Seraphin added 12 while Chris Singleton and Jaka Blazic each had 10 for Barcelona. Toney Douglas led Darussafaka with 23 points. Barcelona led 29-13 after 10 minutes, boosted its margin to 54-27 at halftime, and never looked back.
Jon Diebler and Douglas each struck from downtown to give Darussafaka an early 2-6 lead. Singleton and Blazic fueled an 8-0 run to put Barcelona in charge, 10-6. Micheal Eric took over with a big basket but a red-hot Blazic had 5 points in a 10-0 run that Singleton capped with a three-pointer to make it a double-digit game, 20-8. Diebler answered from downtown but Adam Hanga boosted his team's lead to 24-11. Stanton Kidd followed a floater with a three-pointer but Singleton and Victor Claver restored a 29-16 Barcelona margin after 10 minutes. Seraphin took over early in the second quarter before a layup by Pau Ribas broke the game open, 35-16. Darussafaka kept struggling to score while Seraphin and Claver soon made it a 26-point game, 44-18. Kartal Ozmizrak hit a triple and Oguz Savas added a jumper but Heurtel, Blazic and a dominant Seraphin kept Barcelona fully in charge, 54-27, at halftime. Jeremy Evans scored down low after the break and Dogus Ozdemiroglu added a three-pointer to get Darussafaka a bit closer, 54-32. Barcelona improved its defense and Singleton struck from downtown for a 60-34 score. Heurtel kept pacing Barcelona with a rare dunk, a couple of jumpers and a three-point play that boosted his team's lead to 73-45 after 30 minutes. Nothing changed after that, as Barcelona had already cruised to a convincing home win.

Heurtel was the best player on the floor, controlling the game tempo and finishing the game with 18 points on 7-of-9 two-point shooting, 1-of-2 from downtown and 1-of-1 from the foul line. He also had 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 3 fouls drawn for a game-high PIR of 26.
Game-changing moment
Barcelona led 27-16 late in the first quarter before using a 17-2 run to break the game open. Claver and Seraphin each had 6 in that run, which allowed Barcelona to get full control of the game for good. Darussafaka had a team PIR of 15 in the first half while five Barcelona players – Seraphin, Hanga, Blazic, Singleton and Claver – had double-digit PIRs of their own by then.
Stellar stat
Barcelona outrebounded Darussafaka by 13-1 in the first quarter and by 27-9 at halftime. The hosts had almost as many offensive boards (8) as Darussafaka's total (9).

Barcelona had a season-high scoring night – 97 points. It had previously scored 90 against AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan. All 12 Barcelona players scored for the first time this season, too. That allowed Barcelona to get its highest team PIR of the season, too: 121.
