Head Coaches

LASO, PABLO
Real Madrid
"We played a great first half and I am happy about it. The game was different in the second half, but we had some good minutes on defense and managed our lead very well. It was a dangerous game because Galatasaray has a lot of good three-point shooters. I am happy for our 2-0 start in the Top 16. I have 13 players in the team and rotate depending on our needs. I always finish the game not happy for not giving the chances everyone deserves."
ATAMAN, ERGIN
Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul
"We had a good start, playing good on offense in the first quarter. Our starting five had a successful start, but when they got tired, our bench players had a really bad game. I couldn't switch players every two minutes and the game went away from us. Congratulations to Madrid for this win. We improved in the third quarter when our main players returned. We got a lot of open shots, but did not hit them all. Madrid was the fair winner."

Players

REYES, FELIPE
Real Madrid
"I Work hard every day to keep getting better and feel confident in the games. I am in good shape right now and have to make the most out of it. The most important thing is that the team is playing better and I am able to help, which is good. This is what we work for every day. Starting the new year winning at home in front of our fans in a Top 16 game is very important. I think we did a good job on defense and are happy. It is important for us to play like this because we come out of practice really happy with our playing level. Those good practices are paying off now. We played good defense, shared the ball and everyone contributed."
SLAUGHTER, MARCUS
Real Madrid
"The second quarter was the key to the game and those minutes allowed us to get a very important win for us. We won at home, which is what we are expected to do in the Euroleague. I am doing the best I can. I know what my role in this team is and what I have to work on, what I must do."
ARROYO, CARLOS
Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul
"The key to this loss is that we played poorly. We cannot win if we don't play good defense. I couldn't tell if the game went away in the second quarter, but I can tell we didn't play well in those 10 minutes. One of the problems we have right now is that we brought in new players and they have to adapt and learn certain things. It is a process and it takes time."
