Jerusalem putrebounded its opponent 43-24 and had a 3-1 assist-to-turnover ratio (27-9), while Nizhny had only 16 assists and 14 turnovers. DeAndre Kane put up another strong line for Nizhny with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Siim-Sander Vene added 18 points and Kenny Boynton scored 12 in defeat.

Nizhny reeled off 10 unanswered points – half of which came from Maxim Grigoryev’s hands – to jump out to a 2-11 start. Baskets by Jerrells and Bar Timor got the hosts back on track. Travis Peterson narrowed the gap to 1, but a three by Kane made it 17-22 after 10 minutes. Eliyahu scored the first two baskets of the second quarter to get the hosts rolling. A Jerrells triple gave Jerusalem a 26-25 lead and Eliyahu followed with a steal and layup. Petr Gubanov tied the game with a three that made it 28-28, but Jones and Halperin scored half the points in a 10-0 run that gave Jerusalem control. Eliyahu scored on the halftime buzzer for a 46-35 cushion. Tarnece Kinsey scored 5 points in a 9-0 run to open the second half that gave Jerusalem a comfortable 20-point advantage. A Boynton three and Tomislav Zubcic basket gave Nizhny hope at 57-43, but Jerusalem scored the next 5 points and coasted to a 69-52 lead through three quarters. Vene heated up for Nizhny to bring the visitors within 75-59, but Jerusalem never worried and added to its lead, which peaked at 26 in the next-to-last minute, for a convincing win.

"Anytime you are in the Top 16, every win is a great win. At the same time, it’s not the time to think about qualification, because now we play two games with the best team in the group [Zenit St. Petersburg] and anything can happen. The level of these teams that can score so much, we won two games in a row, but we could lose four games in a row. We can compete with everybody. We’ve showed that and we work like crazy. "
STALBERGS, ARTURS
Nizhny Novgorod
"Hapoel did a good job of offensive rebounding .At some point it looked like kids playing against professionals. We tried to work on defense and hoped that somebody would pick up the ball. We could have definitely controlled it and that's why there should be no excuses that we didn't box out. Each player should look in the mirror and ask himself whether he likes the way he played. We have to be honest with ourselves, nobody will do anything for you. It's either you can or you can't, it's simple."

"We made it easy. Last week they beat St. Petersburg and it wasn’t an accident. This is a team that scores a lot and it’s hard to stop them all the scorers, but we succeeded partially. The emphasis was on offense; we played as a team and that is something that we do not always do, but we know that is what we need to do more often. "
