A Berkay Candan free throw left it at 14-17 through 10 minutes. Davud Kamer extended the lead to 16-21, but Freimanis heated up and with 5 straight points put the hosts back in front. Rasic connected from downtown to even the score at 29-29 and he teamed with Kristaps Valters to put the visitors in front. A Golubovic tip-in made it 37-40 at the break. Travis hit from behind the three-point line to lift Khimik to 43-42, but threes from Tucker and Rasic put Ankara back in front. The lead continued to switch hands; Tucker knocked down two more three-pointers to make it 54-58, but a Gatens triple reversed that. Tucker’s fifth three of the game tied the score at 61-61 through three quarters. A Golubovic tip-in gave Ankara a 67-71 edge, but Khimik closed the gap to 71-73. Plisnic and Gatens traded triples before 4 points from Golubovic made it 74-80. Gatens led the hosts back within 1 with a triple with 33 seconds to play. "From the very beginning of the game the guests played their basketball, and we had to adapt. The whole game was in spurts. Sometimes we made mistakes in defense, sometimes in offense, and it affected the result. We did not follow the game plan. Now we need to prepare for the next games and correct those errors."
SUNTER, ERCUMENT
Aykon TED Ankara Kolejliler
"We knew that we had a small chance, but my players are trying to fix it. I talk to them after all our failures. I think our group F one of the strongest in our geographical conference. We will try to use all of our chances that remain. I wish good luck to Khimik in future games."

Players

GATENS, MATT
Khimik Yuzhne
"It was a difficult game against a good team, and the biggest problem for us was the number of mistakes that we made in the first half. TED Ankara realized too many open three-point shots. The reason for this was center Vladimir Golubovic."
BAYGUL, MUHAMMED
Aykon TED Ankara Kolejliler
"We came here to use our last chance; we do not have a lot of chances, but we did everything to take advantage of this opportunity and continue the game . We knew it would be a tough game. We played all 40 minutes and were able to win in the end."
