U18 ALBA Berlin finished in third place at the Euroleague Basketball ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT Munich after a convincing 57-83 victory over U18 Olympiacos Piraeus. Franz Wagner scored 20 points and Hendrik Drescher tallied 19 points and 7 rebounds for ALBA, which was playing without starting point guard Jonas Mattisseck. Olympiacos got 20 points from Nikos Arsenopoulos in the defeat to finish fourth in its first ANGT appearance since the 2007 ANGT Finals.

The game went back and forth early on with five lead changes and two ties when Andreas Tsoumanis hit free throws for an 8-7 lead. Arsenopoulos pushed the advantage to 14-9 and it was 16-13 after 10 minutes. Olympiacos scored the first 4 points of the second quarter to make it 20-13, but Wagner and Evans Rapieque both knocked down three-pointers in a 2-10 ALBA surge to pull ahead 22-23. Abdoulah Kameric knocked down a pair of three-pointers and Joshua Luebken and Ben Lingk both connected from long range as well, as the margin grew to 29-35.ALBA led 34-35 at the break.

ALBA came out of the locker room with the first 7 points to extend the lead to 34-42. Arsenopoulos came back with 4 straight points and Olympiacos got within 40-45. But ALBA blew the game open with a 4-22 run as Drescher had 6 points en route to a 44-67 advantage after 30 minutes. Wagner scored 8 straight points early in the fourth as the lead grew to 46-77. Olympiacos managed 9 unanswered points to cut the deficit to 22, but the game had already been decided.
