Head Coaches

RECALCATI, CARLO
Umana Reyer Venice
"It's a sin; we played a good game with a lot of energy on the court. We have to be happy because we needed a game like this. We played good defense and suffered some baskets at the 24-second buzzer because of their talent. We wanted to celebrate the qualification with a W, but we have to be confident because we showed we can compete at this level. We have to be satisfied to move ahead in the Eurocup, because it's a great result and we have to be proud of that."
MARTINEZ, PEDRO
Valencia Basket
"Very tough game, we had some problems developing our offense because Umana Reyer Venice played great defense pressing the ball. We weren't confident, especially in the second and in the third quarters. Our defense was good enough not to allow easy baskets to Venice and in a close game like this our experience players make the difference. We scored free throws and played great defense down the stretch and at the end we won."

Players

OWENS, JOSH
Umana Reyer Venice
"We played aggressive, a great game defensively leaving Valencia at 62 points scored. It was a close game and they were better down the stretch. We need to take the positive stuff from this game and think immediately about the next one. Valencia is a very good team, undefeated so far, and in my opinion they are that good because their teamwork. We are happy for the qualification, but we need to stay focus on the next step."
DUBLJEVIC, BOJAN
Valencia Basket
"I think this is an important win for us. For sure not the best game, but winning here in Venice is not easy. This win gives us confidence and we have to keep pushing and playing hard. Defense is the most important part of the game to have success and I think this win and the one in Ulm came from our defensive effort."
