Jovanovic and Miller tried to change things for the hosts but Schultze struck twice from downtown and Jenkins added a layup-plus-foul for a 49-56 Alba lead. Anwil found a go-to guy in Thomas, who followed free throws with a triple that got the hosts within 56-59. McElroy followed a wild three-point play with a big basket but a layup by Jovanovic kept Anwil within 58-64. Schultze downed a three-pointer and Marinovic copied him soon after that for a 58-70 Alba margin after 30 minutes. McElroy sank a jumper and Taylor capped a game-breaking 0-10 run with a layup, good for a 58-74 score. An 8-0 run highlighted by Thomas' dunk allowed Anwil to get some hope, 66-74, with under 6 minutes left. "I want to congratulate Alba Berlin. They played a very good game, even when we also played well in the first half. Until then, we played as a team, tried to find the best answers on the court and took advantage of Alba’s mistakes. I think that we lost because we lacked a little bit of patience. Alba scored some easy points early in the third quarter, made some fast breaks and in that moment, we strongly wanted to cut our deficit. We did it too quickly and made some stupid mistakes in the end. Our biggest problems came at pick-and-roll situations. Alba played so many actions like that and thanks to them, they scored too many easy points. We need to work in this issue. I also want to say that we haven’t played in European competitions for two years and it was visible. I think that we will be better in the upcoming games."

"First of all, I would like to congratulate my players for a very important win here in Wloclawek. If we are ambitious and want to get to the next round, we need to win all home games and try to steal one, maybe two wins on the road. We managed to do this tonight. I think that Alba is a better team than Anwil this season and in a certain way, we were the favourite tonight. However, Wloclawek is a strong basketball court and Anwil is able to beat better teams with this roster and coach Griszczuk on the bench. This is why it was a very important win for us. There were some difficult moments in this game when we need to do our best and prove our strength on the court. We did it and I am really happy to once again congratulate my players."

"I want to express my strong congratulations to my teammates and I would like to congratulate Anwil. They played fair and the fought for all 40 minutes. We didn't play well in the first half and Anwil was able to find some mistakes in our defense. They just played the game like they wanted. We played much better after the break, especially in defense. We made some corrections, played like a real team and just won."
