
The opening game of the Ciutat de L'Hospitalet 2010 Junior Tournament featured Cajasol's first win over host club, CB Hospitalet by 65-77. The win allows Cajasol to lead Group D with a 1-0 record, while Hospi drops to 0-1 for starters. Pape Amadou led the winners with 20 points and 12 rebounds, and an index rating of 27. For Cajasol, the best scorer was Pablo Villarejo with 23 points including 5 of 9 triples and Manuel Gonzalez chipped in with 11 points. For Hospitalet, Albert Olmedo led the way with 18 points, Alex Igual added 15, Albert Devesa posted 11 and Javier Rodriguez had 10.
Pablo Villarejo scored the tournament first basket, a three, that would lead the way to his team's win. With a 0-7 burst, the hosts were already calling their first timeout only after three minutes from the start of the game. However, Cajasol was in a good momentum and hit a new 0-6 that made it 0-13 only after four minutes. Starting at that point, Hospitalet would put all its efforts to be back in the game, but the burden was too heavy to carry. Midway through the second quarter, Hospitalet showed its best face and managed to pull within 6 points from Cajasol, but at the halftime break the guests had a solid 10-point lead, 30-40, mainly thanks to their star, Pape Amadou. The 17-year-old forward hurt Hospitalet's defense, dominating the game with little opposition. amadou was also backed by Villarejo. In the second half, Cajasol managed to maintain its lead and never really allowed Hospitalet to be back in the game.
