Both teams now hold 1-1 records in Group B. Ulm opened a 13-point in the first quarter, but Brescia erased it and held a slim halftime lead. However, the visitors went ahead in the third quarter again and led 66-73 in the fourth. Ristic and Crawford had close-range baskets to end the first quarter, but Obst hit a second-chance triple early in the second to restore a double-digit margin, 21-33. However, Brescia's Crawford scored after offensive rebounds and Chery got to the free-throw line to cut into the margin, 28-33. Obst had a three-point play, but more baskets from Crawford, Chery and Cline allowed Brescia to finish the half strong and Crawford's last-second jumper put the hosts up 40-39 at halftime.

Burns opened the third quarter with a triple. Consecutive floaters from Chery put Brescia up 47-41. But Holman and Petrucelli hit back-to-back threes before Obst caught fire, scoring 11 points, including 3 three-pointers for Ulm, which used a 0-10 run to regain the lead, 58-63. The visitors took a 62-67 edge into the fourth quarter before Petrucelli and Osetkowski extended it to 66-73. But Ristic scored inside and Chery hit a second-chance three to close within 71-73 with 3:55 to go. Burns followed that up with a floater and a three-pointer to give Brescia a 76-73. edge Free throws from Holman and Caupain tied the score with 46 seconds to go and neither team scored again as the game went into overtime.

Both teams struggled to score before Cline put the hosts up 80-77. However, Caupain's triple tied it and Petrucelli's free throws put Ulm in front 80-82 with 1:18 in the extra session. Burns fought for a tip-in and then on the following possession sliced through the lane for a layup to give Brescia an 84-82 lead with 31 seconds to go, which it never relinquished.

Roller coaster 28s

Ulm duo slowed down

Dylan Osetkowski scored 11 points in the first 7 minutes of the game, and Troy Caupain had 12 points in the first quarter for Ulm. However, the duo combined to score just 13 more points for the rest of the game.

Head Coaches

ESPOSITO, VINCENZO
Germani Brescia
"We were a little under pressure because we lost the first two games of the Italian League and the first game in the EuroCup after playing good basketball. Like tonight, we were playing pretty good again, but Ulm played good defense. We played with too much stress, but when we slowed down, we had good execution and good defense and we won the game. We have to keep working to get to know each other better, but we are happy because there are no easy games in the EuroCup."
LAKOVIC, JAKA
ratiopharm Ulm
"I would like to congratulate Brescia for the win. I thought it was a good game and I think we started the game excellent. Also, I think it was not realistic for us to expect that we were going to go like that the whole game because Brescia is an experienced and quality team and it was expected it would come back. And they did, and then the game was open. We had opportunities to finish the game. We missed what I thought were easy layups. I am happy how the guys competed, but also we have to learn from this because we are a young team, how to manage the game in decisive minutes."

BURNS, CHRISTIAN

"We needed to get a win tonight. We've been working so hard. We had a couple of tough losses, bad losses that we should have won and all we were thinking was to get a win tonight. It was absolutely a team effort. All our guys fought until the end. This game was like a roller coaster; we were down 10-15 points in the first, then we were down again [in the second half]. I am just proud of my guys."
