Banvit Bandirma dominated the fourth quarter as it pulled away to beat MZT Skopje Aerodrom 68-86. The visitors improved to 4-4 and moved into a tie for third place in Group G. Skopje dropped to 1-7. The game was close for the first three quarters and was tied as late as 49-49. However the fourth quarter was all Banvit, which rode E.J. Rowland’s hot hand to a double-digit lead and then added on 12 straight points to put the game away. Chuck Davis led the Banvit attack with 21 points plus 3 blocks, Rowland amassed 20 points, 6 assists and 3 steals and Klemen Prepelic netted 16 points on 4-of-4 three-point shooting. Cade Davis led Skopje with 14 points and Todor Gecevski scored 12 in defeat.

The hosts jumped out to an early 7-2 lead on a pair of Gecevski baskets and a three by Damjan Stojanovski. Gecevski added to the lead and a Gjorgji Cekovski triple made it 16-10. Erkan Veyseloglu helped Banvit recharge. Chuck Davis scored twice in a 0-8 Banvit run to take an 18-20 lead. Tefan Simovec hit back with a four-point play to help Skopje to a 22-21 lead through 10 minutes. The lead changed hands several times in the early part of the second quarter before a Prepelic three put the visitors up 27-31. Nikola Otasevic soon tied it from the charity stripe, but Banvit regained a small lead and held it till the final seconds of the half when a Cade Davis three tied the game at 40-40. The game remained tight and featured ties at 42, 44, 47 and 49 until Rowland’s second-chance basket and a Veyseloglu three put Banvit ahead 51-55 with 10 minutes to play. Rowland scored 7 straight points as the visitors expanded their lead to 53-64 early in the fourth quarter. Baskets by Gecevski and Cade Davis did little to stop Banvit, which started to pull away. Rowland hit another three, Keith Simmons did the same and the visitors sat on a 61-75 cushion with four minutes to go. A 12-0 run finished off the game as Banvit led by as much as 61-84 after a Prepelic triple before Cade Davis finished off the scoring with a late three for the hosts.
