Cajasol Sevilla won out with a final quarter turnaround in the Nike International Junior Tournament on Friday, beating Union Olimpija Ljubljana 78-70 thanks to a stunning final quarter performance. Adrian Camino provided 22 points for the Spanish side, whilst Kristaps Porzingis also put in 15 and Guillermo Corrales 12. The top scorer, with a huge 33 points to his name, was Union Olimpija’s Emir Sulejmanovic, but he was unable to lead his team to victory.

Union Olimpija was 11 points up by the end of the first quarter, leading 14-25 after an early blitz. The second period saw Cajasol outscore its opponent, but the game nevertheless went into halftime 33-40. Cajasol pulled the score back to 52-56 heading into the final quarter, thanks to a run of 12 points without a response. In that final stanza, Guillermo Corrales and Kristaps Porzingis provided the points that turned the game on its head, and a 26-14 scoring record returned the favor from the first period. Cajasol Sevilla took the win, 78-70, showing great persistence after the early setback.
