The hosts led for the first three quarters, but managed to force overtime with a Talor Battle shot in the final seconds of regulation. In the extra session, Guy Muya hit a triple 25 seconds before the end, and after Benas Veikalas put Bonn in front 89-90, Stitt hit a game-winner. The hosts held slim 21-19 lead at the end of the first, and Maarten Rademakers hit a triple to start the second, helping them to 26-19. McLean strung 7 points on the other end to tie the game, but Stitt scored three bucket in a row to keep Belfius Mons in front. Love made it a 6-point game, but Gaffney converted basket-plus-foul twice in the final 15 seconds of the half, cutting it to 40-38 at the break. Couple of triples from Vaden helped the hosts to 49-46, and after a dunk from McLean, the hosts used long range shots from Monwell Randle and Vaden to pull away to 61-51. The visitors halved the deficit before the end of the third quarter, and a dunk from Brooks capped a 1-13 run early in the fourth for 62-64. Teams went on, trading baskets. A triple from Veikalas helped Bonn to 68-72, and Bonn stayed in front with a basket from McLean and free throws from Veikalas, 75-78 with 18 second to go. Battle went to the free throw line, split free throws missing the second one, only for the hosts to secure possession and Battle forced overtime. Head Coaches

DEFRAIGNE, YVES
Belfius Mons Hainaut
"A victory at home, one outside, I think that considering the circumstances, with our injured players, we do not have to be ashamed with our performances. We would have been able to claim two additional victories at home against Rome and Berlin, with a little more success and luck. We still have a match to play in this Eurocup, and then we shall have to concentrate on the championship. But it was a good experience for my young players."
FISCHER, MATHIAS
Telekom Baskets Bonn
"We are mathematically eliminated from Eurocup, and I am anxious to congratulate Mons which showed another face compared to the first leg. The team showed a lot of aggressiveness in defense, and prevented us from developing our game. We needed a victory, and I shall retain that it was an excellent experience this participation in Eurocup. The level is very high, and there are no small teams."

Players

STITT, DEMONTEZ
Belfius Mons Hainaut
"This victory it is the one of the whole team, and not that of a single player; even if I tear away the extra time, and the victory on the buzzer. It makes the good performances as well in Eurocup as in championship, and it is necessary to retain that we fought well throughout a very difficult match on the physical plan."
MCCRAY, DAVID
Telekom Baskets Bonn
"We expected a difficult meeting, because by winning in Rome, our opponent had already proved that you should not underestimate it. In fact, we shot badly in three points with only two realizations in forty five minutes, and especially we made big errors during the extra time, as well as during the last minutes of regulation; while we had the match in our hands."
