MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg
"It was an honor to coach against Carlo Recalcati today, I have been following his work for years. We saw two very different halves in this game. Venice was dominant for the first 17 minutes until we came back through our defense. In the second half we managed to improve our pick-and-roll defense and it was great to see that Jason Boone and Shawn Huff gave us an important impulse off the bench. With 21 assists and only 7 turnovers we did a good job moving the ball and as a team everybody stepped up with Mustafa Shakur being injured."
RECALCATI, CARLO
Umana Reyer Venice
"Congratulations to our opponent. Ludwigsburg played a good game, especially in the second half. They made it very difficult for us and we had trouble rebounding the ball. We tried to compensate for this with other parts of the game, but it didn’t work out. I think in the first half we played very well on offense and made good decisions, but unfortunately we couldn’t keep that up."
