Galatasaray Cafe Crown came back from an 11-point fourth quarter deficit to beat BC Hemofarm Stada on the road 84-77 and finish second place in Group C. Galatasaray used a 26-8 surge to finish the game and improve to 7-3. Charles Gaines had 17 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals to lead Galatasaray while Chris Owens added 17 points and 7 rebounds. Dee Brown chipped in 15 points and Cuneyt Erden had 14 points in a winning effort. Galatasaray trailed 69-58 but refused to give up and won the game. Hemofarm dropped to 6-4 and finished Group C in third place. The hosts wasted a 30-point showing by Rawle Marshall while Nebojsa Joksimovic added 12 points and Vladan Vukosavljevic scored 10 points.

Vukosavljevic scored first for Hemofarm which Gaines answered with a three-point play. Marshall's basket gave the hosts an 8-3 lead but the first quarter went back and forth with four lead changes as Owens's score made it 10-11. Hemofarm scored four straight points before Erden evened things at 14-14 with a three-pointer. But Milivoje Bozovic knocked down a triple of his own and Hemofarm was up 20-16 after one period. Brown and Joksimovic swapped three-balls to start the second and Galatasaray finally grabbed the lead again on Murat Kaya's long ball for a 29-31 advantage. Neither side could pull away though a three-point play and a long ball by Marshall left Hemofarm ahead 37-34 at the break. Joksimovic began the second half with a three-ball before Gaines closed to within 44-40. But a Miljan Pavkovic three-pointer after a Galatasaray time-out highlighted a 9-0 run as Hemofarm pulled ahead 53-40. Two baskets by Boris Savovic kept Galatasaray at bay before Erdem Turetken's three-ball and score made it 60-53. But Bozovic re-stored a 62-53 cushion after three periods. Turetken opened the scoring in the fourth but the lead was back up to 10 points - 65-55 - on Stefan Markovic's three-ball. And it was 69-58 after Marshall's foul shot. But Owens and Gaines combined for nine points in a 2-14 run, which Erden finished off with a three-pointer to pull within 73-72. And Kaya's three-ball finally gave Galatasaray the lead 75-77. Owens and Brown combined for three foul shots for a 75-80 game. And Brown made two more free throws and the final basket after Marshall had closed to within 77-80.

Head Coaches

NIKOLIC, MIROSLAV
Hemofarm Stada
"We had three away matches in January and the team is exhausted. Jagodnik is injured and couldn't help us with his great international experience. Galatasaray is a better team and we couldn't follow them in quick play and good concentration. It's important that we passed to the next round and no matter if the rival is strong and weak team we can win if we are in good shape."
OZYER, MURAT
Galatasaray Cafe Crown Istanbul
"We didn't play well in defense until the last period and couldn't stop players like Marshall and Joksimovic. We returned to the game in the last period when we played with two big players and dominated in defense and three-point shots. We had 32 points in the last period and that decided the match."

"It was an important game because we ended this round in the second place. We didn't start well, especially in defense and allowed Hemofarm to score so many points. In the last period we improved our defense and decreased the goal difference. We had 32 points and won."
