Two teams that lost the Eurocup opener in Group E, Turk Telekom and Spirou Basket, faced off on Tuesday and when the dust settled, hosting Turk Telekom emerged victoriosu thanks to a 91-67 final score. A
wild first half for the hosts with as many as 12 three-pointers, bossted them to high leads that Spirou never really threatened despite a strong try starting the second half. Now, Spirou Basket drops to 0-2
in the group and is last, while Turk Telekom improves to 1-1. Lamayne Wilson led all scorers with 25 points with 5 of 8 triples, Bekir Yarangume added 24 including 6 of 8 threes, Tutku Acik nailed 12 and Huseyin Besok had 10 points and 7 boards for Turk Telekom. For Spirou Basket, Dwayne Broyles scored 19 and two players joined him in double digits with 11 each: Wes Wilkinson and Nick Jacobson.
A starting 5-0 including a three by Demond Mallet launched Turk Telekom in the lead early, and Huseyin Besok joined the party to make it 7-0 until Jure Lalic hit a fre ethrow to get Spirou Basket going. But
Bekir Yarangume and Besok himself nailed straight threes that put a 16-1 on the scoreboard only 4 minutes after tip-off. Jonathan Tabu stopped the bleeding for the guests with a new free throw, and
afterwards he finally scored from the field to make it 16-4. Tutku Acik kept the three-pointer steamroller going for Turk Telekom, to put already a 20-point margin by minute 9, 24-4. Nick Jacobson closed the
first quarter with a bucket for a 24-6 score. Jacobson himself started the scoring race in the second quarter for Spirou, but Erwin Dudley quickly shut him up for Turk Telekom and Yarangume soon added a new
three plus a dunk for a 31-9. Jacobson finally landed a three for Spirou but Lamayne Wilson now scored three straight threes to make it 40-18. Jure Lalic seemed to wake up to give some air to the guests but
Turk Telekom now played at ease with the big cushion and reached the halftime leading by 48-24 after an unbelievable 12 of 21 from the arc, and also a 6 of 11 from the field.

Turk Telekom started the second half in the same way it finished the first, blasting two more bombs from downtown while Jacosbson was, again also, the main scorer for Spirou Basket in these first minutes of
the third period. Tabu and Broyles finally hit Spirou's second and third bombs of the night back-to-back for a 56-36 Turk Telekom edge. The Spirou run climbed to 0-9 when Justin Hamilton had a three-point
play for 56-39, but Acik scored twice from the line to keep the hosts going. Broyles was all fired up however and scored four straight points to make it a 10-19 Spirou burst since the start of three. Turk's
beat ally now were the free throws, when they had not shot a single one in the entire first half. When Wilson and Serkan Erdogan had straight baskets, the score was again a 66-47 Turk Telekom lead. The hosts
had recovered the pulse of the game and after 30 minutes they were up by 75-49 with no problems. Yarangume had his sixth three for 78-51, and when the difference reached the 31 points, 82-51, the outcome of
the game was clear enough.
