PBC Lokomotiv Kuban used a near-perfect shooting night behind the arc to comfortably down Trefl Sopot 99-79 and pick up its second win in Group E. The hosts hit 14 three-pointers in only 17 attempts and Jimmy Baron scored 21 of his game-high 29 points before halftime as Lokomotiv cruised to its second win in as many matches. Nick Calathes added 16 points, Maxim Grigoryev and Simas Jasaitis each made 4 of 5 from downtown and scored 14 points and Aleks Maric amassed 11 points and 14 rebounds. Frank Turner led visitors with 15 points, Filip Dylewicz scored 13, Marcin Stefanski had 11 and Adam Waczynski chipped in with 10 as Trefl Sopot dropped to a 0-2 record.
Kurt Looby opened the scoring with a pair of free throws and a Piotr Dabrowski three-pointer extended that early lead to 2-7. The hosts were quick to erase the deficit with three triples - two from Baron and one from Jasaitis – before Baron's dunk made it 15-11. A Sime Spralja three and Turner's layup-plus-foul tied the game, but Jasaitis and Maxim Grigoryev each hit from downtown to open an 8-point lead. Spralja hit his second triple to make it 27-22 and close out the scoring in the opening 10 minutes. Baron made a layup to begin the second quarter scoring. The visitors kept themselves in range with a dunk-plus-foul from Michal Michalak and another triple from Spralja, but Baron answered with a three-pointer and a pair of free throws that made it 38-28. Sopot scored on three ensuing possessions to cut the lead to 4 points, but before the end of the half, Maric scored a layup and Calathes made a dunk, hit a jumper and assisted on an Andrey Zubkov three-pointer in the final seconds of the quarter that gave Lokomotiv a 49-39 halftime lead.
Filip Dylewicz made a dunk and a layup at the start of the third quarter, but Baron remained hot. His three jumpers combined with a triple from Calathes put Lokomotiv back ahead by double digits, 58-47. Even though Sopot held the hosts without a field goal for the next five minutes, the visitors only managed to get within 7 points. Jasaitis hit a triple, which pushed the lead back to 64-54, and Baron opened the fourth quarter with a layup for 67-56. Calathes, Maric and Maxim Sheletko all followed with baskets inside to extend the margin to 15 points. With Lokomotiv in control, Junior Harrington and Grigoryev traded triples before Grigoryev hit twice more from downtown and Sheletko and Jasaitis each added another three to make it biggest lead of the night, 99-77 in the final minute.
