Dynamo Moscow survived a tough one on the road on Tuesday night as it defeated ASCO Slask in Wroclaw by 78-85 in the first Last 32 game of the series between those two teams. Dynamo was always leading the way, but Slask never surrendered and managed to stay put until in the last quarter, when the guests improved defense that didn't allow Slask to think and won the game for them. Robertas Javtokas had an excellent performance with 28 points behind 12 of 12 2-point shots, Milos Vujanic added 14 and Travis Hansen 11 for the winners. For Slask, Dawan Robinson had 21 points and newcomer Andrius Giedraitis tallied 16. Now both teams will square off again next Tuesday in Moscow, Russia for the second and definitive game of the series ad Dynamo will be holding a 7-point advantage to advance to the Last 16 round.

Robertas Javtokas dominated underneath the boards as his first 7 points allowed Dynamo to start rolling with a 4-10 that was soon erased by Rashid Atkins' three, 9-10. Henry Domercant and Dmitry Domani launched Dynamo again but Slask stood up once more and Torrell Martin blasted a three to tie the game at 19-19 and soon Andrius Giedraitis nailed a new bomb from downtown to put the hosts ahead 25-23. There was time however for a new Javtokas basket to tie it 25-25 after 10 minutes. The second quarter didn't represent much change from the first as both teams were always close to each other. Travis Hansen scored for Dynamo for a three-point lead, 29-32, but four straight oints by Dawan Robinson put the hosts back in control, 33-32. The hosts were alive thanks to a 71% from the arc and better rebounding but their 10 turnovers in front of Dynamo's 4 allowed the guests to be always there. In the last play, Javtokas appeared again to score to leave a 39-42 Dynamo edge at the break.

Things didn't change much when the second half started. Dynamo started with a 0-6 burst for 39-48 but Slask never got intimidated and was back in the game each and every time that the Russian team seemed to jump ahead, even when Milos Vujanic hit a three for a double-digit lead, 41-51, the hosts reacted through Giedraitis' threes and Oliver Stevic scored for 57-58 in minute 28 which turned into 59-63 after 30 minutes. In the decisive period, Slask tried to come back once more, but thanks to supertight defense, Dynamo managed to stay away from the hosts by 5-8 points which allowed them to control the pace. As time was running out, Robinson took the saviour role for Slask but it didn't work out and Vujanic scored for 70-76 and Hansen added a triple for 72-79 in the last steps of the game. Robinsosn did manage to hit a three for 75-80 but Vujanic's layup for 78-85 broke the game open for the guests.
