A close basket by Stimac forced the guests to call timeout at 18-9. Dragicevic nailed a triple and Paunic scored again but Lucas, Mejia and Davis combined for all points in a 9-1 run that made it a double-digit game, 27-15. Mejia kept scoring but Kyryl Natyazhko and Dragicevic kept Azovmash within 31-21 after 10 minutes. Back-to-back triples by Mejia broke the game open, 37-21, early in the second quarter. Izzet Turkylmaz dunked it but Dragicevic followed free throws with a three-pointer for a 39-26 Azovmash deficit. Safak Edge joined the three-point shootout and a layup-plus-foul by Stimac boosted the hosts' lead to 45-28. Lynn Greer, Harris and Paunic stepped up for the guests but free throws by Davis made it a 14-point game, 49-35. Harris kept pacing Azovmash but Mejia, Davis and Stimac allowed Banvit to boost its lead to 58-42 at halftime.

Stimac scored down low after the break and Veyseloglu matched Pecherov's put-back basket with a layup for a 62-44 score. Harris struck from downtown but Mejia kept pacing the hosts with a layup and Stimac added a three-point play to boost Banvit's lead to 67-48. Azovmash improved its defense and a three-point play by Greer sparked a 0-7 run that Harris capped with consecutive baskets to give the guests some hope at 67-55. Davis rescued Banvit with a close basket but Greer kept Azovmash within 70-58. Davis and Turkylmaz made free throws and Edge hit a jumper but Dragicevic and Ihor Zaytsev gave Azovmash hope, 76-64, after 30 minutes. Stimac stepped up with consecutive baskets early in the fourth quarter. Harris provided a highlight with a dunk and Pecherov added 5 quick points but Banvit kept running its offense through an unstoppable Stimac. Pecherov kept trying to change things with a put-back basket and Raduljica scored down low but free throws by Mejia kept Banvit way ahead, 89-75, with over 4 minutes left. Azovmash kept trying but Banvit stayed focused and managed to cruise to a pivotal home win.

Banvit Bandirma
"Congratulations to Azovmash for the character they showed, especially in the second half. I am proud of my team being aware of the importance of the game. We have been playing good lately, so in this game too we started really good on the both ends of the court. We struggled a little in the second half, but my players controlled the game pretty well. We will play against each other in a week. It is also going to be very tough game."
KESAR, ALEKSANDAR
Azovmash Mariupol
"First of all, congratulations to Banvit. They deserved to win the game. We could not set up a good defense in the first and second quarters. So Banvit took the advantage of that. Then we could not catch them in the second half, even though we played better than in the first half. We lost 5 three-pointers in last two minutes and they made free throws when we were in the bonus. Banvit is a good organization in sense of investing in young players. They have a good facility here. This is important for European basketball. "

"It was a really important game and we knew that. We shared the ball and wanted to win badly tonight. We want to make it to the Last 16 and the next game will be very important."

Azovmash Mariupol
"It was a really tough game. Banvit took the advantage in the first half by making very tough shots. We fought and showed character in the second half, but we could not catch up to them. We will play them next week and try to win that game to stay in the race."
