Simone Fontecchio paced the winners with 26 points. Giacomo Luppi added 15 while Adam Pechaceck had 14 for Bologna. Pierfrancesco Oliva led Siena with 22 points. Andrea Martino added 13 while Federico Di Prampero had 11. Siena opened the game with a 0-7 run that Fabio Cuccarese capped with a jumper but Pechaceck and Luppi brought Bologna within 9-11 after 10 minutes. Fontecchio had 6 points in an 8-0 run that gave Bologna a 24-18 margin but Olive stepped for Siena to tie the game, 28-28, at halftime. Back-to-back baskets by Andrea Martino and Federico Sanges gave Siena its last lead, 30-34. Fontecchio took over with 12 points in a 16-0 run that broke the game open, 46-34, late in the third quarter. Bologna boosted its margin to 58-42 after 30 minutes and kept a safe margin until the final buzzer.
