Spars Sarajevo cruised to a comfortable 56-75 victory over Armani Junior Milan in Group B of the ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT. Spars took control of the game with a 0-30 run spanning the first and second quarters. Edin Atic led Spars with 21 points and Atif Durak nailed five three-pointers for 20 points. Fahrudin Manjgafic added 12 points and Amar Gegic collected nine points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals. Spars improved to 1-0 in the group while Milan dropped to 0-1. Davide Toffali led Milan with 12 points while Michele Serpilli had 11 points, Francesco Villa scored 10 points and Andrea Pecchia chipped in 10 points, five rebounds, two assists and six steals.

Milan went ahead 3-0 and was up 8-4 midway through the first quarter. Spars took over thereafter as Durak nailed back-to-back three-pointers to start an 0-21 run in which he added a third triple as Sarajevo led 8-25 after 10 minutes. The spurt continued in the second quarter as Spars scored the first nine points to finish the 0-30 run over more than 8 minutes and an 8-34 lead. The advantage continued to grow throughout the quarter up to 30 points, 16-46. Milan was able to trim the deficit to 20-46 at the intermission.

Spars did not take the pedal off the gas and pushed the cushion back to 29 points, 23-52. Milan responded with a 12-2 run to cut the margin down to 35-54. But Spars was up 37-59 after three quarters. Milan tried to get back into the game and trailed 44-62 with seven minutes to play. But Spars scored the next eight points to push the cushion to 26, and Milan would not get closer than 19 points the rest of the way.
