Partizan Belgrade aced its Group B debut by taking off in the final quarter of a close game to an 83-71 decision over Brose Baskets of Germany. Partizan had fallen behind twice in the second half on three-pointers by Brose, the second time entering the fourth quarter. A 15-2 run soon after that resolved the situation as Partizan won going away. Vukasin Vujovic led six double-figure scorers for Partizan with 18 points while pulling 7 rebounds. Nikola Radicevic follwed with 13 points, while Marko Josilo and Nemanja Besovic added 11 each. For Brose, Phillipp Neumann was unstoppable with 29 points, 8 rebounds while Jorg Dippold added 17. That duo shot Brose in front 15-17 in the opening quarter, but Vujovic and Nemanja Vucicevic led a 14-2 run as Partizan took control. It lead hit 46-36 at halftime, but Brose rallied after halftime to lead 46-47 on Deon McDuffie's three-pointer and again from the same distance, this time by Neumann, to finish the third quarter 55-56. His layup gave Brose its biggest lead, 55-58, on the fourth quarter's first play, but Besovic and Vucicevic took care of business right away after that to secure Partizan's first victory.
