Telekom Baskets Bonn escaped the bottom of the Group A standings on Tuesday by rolling up the points to defeating at home Jabones Pardo Fuenlabrada, 99-81. The Germans are now 2-3, with renewed hope for the second half ot the regular season, while Jabones Pardo sits alone in sixth place at 1-4. The game was decided late in the third quarter by 12-3 Bonn run based on aggressive defense and its best scorer Aleksander Nadjfeji on fire. Nadjfeji led his team in the end with 25 points, while three of his teammates also reached double digits: Brian Brown with 18 points, Terrenche Rencher with 16 and Brad Traina with 12. While Peter Huber-Saffer went close with 9. The scoring leader of the night was Richard Scott of Jabones Pardo with 35 points. Francisco Solana added 12 for the losers as did Walter Hermann, though he didn¹t score in the second half.

The first two periods were balanced with the teams alternating small leads until, close to the buzzer of the break, Bonn made a short run to go back in the locker room leading 50-43. They had by then 12 points from Brown, while Scott was already on fire for Fuenlabrada with 16 and Hermann was right behind with 12. The third period started with Bonn trying to run away at, 59-49, but two straight three-pointers by Solana and David Wood aborted the attempt. The decisive run was around the corner, however, as with a 12-O partial Telekom Baskets finished the third period ahead 71-60 after having taken its biggest lead at 71-58 on a slam dunk by Traina. The last period started with another dunk, by Nadjfeji, and from that moment, the guests had little chance to come back. Bonn managed the game and their advantage grew to 81-63. Despite the best attempts by Scott the game ended on 99-81.
