Veikalas hit his second triple but Ford stayed unstoppable and three-pointers by Mike Green and Ndoye made it a double-digit game, 29-43, at halftime. Lang struck from downtown right after the break but back-to-back triples by Caloairo got Bonn within 35-46. Eugene Lawrence and Caloairo insisted from beyond the arc but Paris kept finding points inside and a dunk by Ford gave his team a 41-56 margin. A three-pointer by Schilb and free throws by Sane made it a 17-point game, 44-61. Vroblicky and Koch stepped up to bring Bonn within 55-67 after 30 minutes. Head Coaches

FISCHER, MATHIAS
Telekom Baskets Bonn
"We expected a hard-fought contest, and that’s what we got. Paris shot the ball extremely well in the first half. After intermission we went to switching more assignments on defense to deny easy entry passes. The very last basket by Mickey McConnell was a nice bonus, because you never know what’s going to happen in the re-match a couple weeks from now – maybe we’ll need that little extra gap. Having as many as eight players connecting from long range is a sign for us being willing to share the ball."
BEUGNOT, GREGOR
Paris Levallois
"I hope my team is able to gain as much experience as possible from this game. We have many young players on our roster that make mistakes in certain situations. On the other hand, I have to give my veterans a few breaks, because if they are on the court too long, they’ll be exhausted in crunch time. For the last five minutes we did not play to win, we played to not lose the game."

Players

KLIMAVICIUS, TADAS
Telekom Baskets Bonn
"This game was nice to see for all the fans in attendance, but for us players and coaches involved it’s been tough. Having to fight for the lead for over 39 minutes makes us even happier to eventually come away with the win. We need these kinds of games to grow as a team and gain experience. Thanks to our good defense and attitude we were able to turn this one around."
FORD, SHARROD
Paris Levallois
"We did not finish the game the way we should have. If you don’t put a complete game on display on the road you’ll get punished. For most parts of the second half we were not able to match Bonn’s intensity."
