INSEP of France won the third place at the Belgrade NIJT after rallying from 18 points down to beat Partizan mt:s Belgrade 79-71 in the bronze medal game on Sunday. Charly Pontens scored a tournament-high 33 points to help INSEP finish on a winning note and with a 3-2 record, while Partizan also finished the tournament with 3-2, but dropped its last two games. Partizan stormed out of the gate, putting together 0-11 run at the beginning of the game, then also a 2-12 spurt that help build 10-28 first quarter lead. INSEP, however, started to come back behind Pontens midway through the second quarter, and a triple from Lucas Dussoulier cut it to 35-38 at halftime. Teams remained close, and exchanged leads throughout the second half, as Vasilije Pusica led Partizan and Aleksa Jugovic hit a three-pointer for 64-64. But Stephane Gombauld made 3 of 4 free throws and a basket inside, before Pontens added a fastbreak layup and Luidgy Laporal hit a jumper for 73-66 that gave INSEP lead for good. Gombauld scored 13 points, and Laporal had 12 points plus 10 rebounds in victory, while Pusica finished with 14 points plus 8 assists for Partizan. Bozidar Babovic added 13 plus 8 rebounds, and Dusan Raniovic netted 10 in defeat.
