Banvit BK Bandirma routed MZT Skopje 85-61 in Group G to improve to 2-1, thus securing a share of second place. The result left MZT winless. Scoring ace Sammy Mejia led the winners with 19 points on 6-of-8 two-point shooting plus 8 rebounds for a performance index rating of 26. Chuck Davis added 15 points, Drew Gordon had 13 with 8 boards and EJ Rowland netted 10 points. Gjorgji Cekovski was the main contributor for MZT Skopje with 13 points and 7 boards, Justin Reynolds scored 12 and Todor Gecevski 10.

The teams exchanged leads for the first six minutes before 2 free throws by Mejia triggered the hosts. Banvit Bandirma went on to finish up 22-17 after 10 minutes on a high-low play completed by big man Ermal Kuqo. The home team’s advantage rose to double figures when Davis made it 29-19 and Erkan Veyseloglou’s layup further extended it. Cekovski and Uros Lucic scored for MZT Skopje and a huge dunk by EJ Rowland fixed the halftime score at 45-28. Back-to-back lay ups by Mejia at the midway point of the third quarter gave to the home team its biggest margin so far, 55-34. Then Lucic’s put-back and a Reynolds three allowed the guests to stay within 62-45 at the end of the third quarter. Lucic cut the margin to 62-49, but the hosts kept control, reaching again a big advantage on 75-54 when Mejia pulled down an offensive board and scored. Klemen Prepelic from downtown made it 83-58 to seal his team’s victory.
