Union Olimpija Ljubljana finished the Group B games in the Barking Abbey Academy Euroleague Basketball Junior Classification Tournament with a style following a 98-58 win over Banca Sella Biella on Friday evening in London, England. The score gave Olimpija the top spot in the group and a ticket to a semi-finals match against the hosting team of the tournament, Barking Abbey. Biella dropped to 1-2 to finish the group in the third place and will take on BC Khimki Moscow in the battle for the 5th place. As a result of the score USK Future Stars Prague earned the spot in the second semi-finals games against Maccabi Teddy Tel Aviv tomorrow morning. The winner of the tournament will play in the Nike International Junior Tournament during the 2010 Euroleague Final Four weekend in Paris, France. Olimpija could have qualified even with a minor loss, but didn't leave much hope for Biella right from the tip off. Filip Petrovic led the way for Olimpija with 18 points, Klemen Prepelic added 17, Gezim Morina scored 13 and Boris Bosnjak gathered 12. In Biella William Magarity reached 16 points and Eric Lombardi finished with 14.

Olimpija left very small space for doubts, and fired up a great start. The 7-0 lead quickly increased to 21-6, but four points by Biella until the first quarter buzzer made it look as the score might still be close later on. That thought was quickly changed once Olimpija started the second quarter with a 12-0 run as Morina and Prepelic collected points. Biella collected points with Lombardi and Magarity, but Olimpija were in a different sphere, reaching the half time break holding a 52-21 gap. The one-sided game continued in the second half, and Petrovic sealed the 3rd quarter score on a 40 point gap, 73-33 on the way to the biggest win difference in the tournament.
