U18 Mega Bemax Belgrade collected its second victory in two games at the EUROLEAGUE BASKETBALL ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT Qualifying Tournament Marko Ivkovic Belgrade with a 68-40 win over U18 Spars Ziraat Bank Sarajevo. Nikola Miskovic picked up 22 points and 10 rebounds for Mega, which has a 2-0 record in Group B and will next face U18 Get Better Academy Prague later Saturday. Goga Bitadze had another big game for Mega with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Spars got 15 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks from Tarik Biberovic but dropped to 0-2 in the group. Spars finishes its group play off with a game against U18 Maccabi Teddy Tel Aviv.

Spars early on went through Biberovic as the 2001-born talent assisted on the team’s first two baskets in opening a 0-6 lead. He added a layup and another assist as Spars was leading 2-10. Mega only had three free throws in the first 8 minutes until Goga Bitadze’s three-point play. The Georgian big man added a reverse layup and three-pointer as Mega was up 13-10 after 10 minutes. Mihailo Jovicic increased the margin to 20-12 and Mega began to pull away with Miskovic scoring six straight points and then Bitadze knocked down a three-pointer for a 31-20 lead after two quarters. Jovan Virijevic hit a three-pointer as Mega opened the second half with the first eight points for a 39-20 lead. Biberovic ended the drought into the six minute mark but Miskovic added seven more points as the lead swelled to 47-22. And the margin was 52-24 after an Aleksa Matic triple. Spars was down 52-27 after three quarters. The fourth quarter was more of the same just with the Mega reserves getting it done. Danilo Matovic scored all eight of his points in the fourth quarter in pushing the lead to 62-32. Spars hit two three-pointers in the final minute to get the final deficit below 30 points.
