Mega never threatened in comfortable win over Lokomotiv

U18 Mega SoccerBet Belgrade picked up its second win in two games in cruising to a 98-71 victory over U18 Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar in Group B of the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament Belgrade. Nikola Jovic and Nikola Djurisic both poured in 21 points and combined for 13 rebounds, 10 assists, 5 steals and 4 blocks to lead Mega, which finished first at the ANGT Belgrade in 2019 and twice reached the ANGT Championship Game in 2017 and 2019. Mihailo Milutinovic chipped in 15 points, Oleksandr Kobzystyi had 14 and Danilo Labovic added 12 points in the win. Lokomotiv dropped to 0-2 in the group despite Lev Kuzmenko scoring 19 points as the Russian team committed 22 turnovers and made just 14.3% on three-pointers.

Mega opened the game with the first eight points and Lokomotiv did not score in the first 3 minutes. Jovic and Djurisic scored to extend the lead to 14-2. Lokomotiv started to execute on offense and made it 17-10 only to see Mega race away with an 8-0 spurt to lead 25-10 and the score was 30-15 after 10 minutes. Jovic hit four points in a 7-0 run as the margin grew to 42-21. Nikita Evdokimov nailed a three-pointer to try to keep Lokomotiv close but Mega was up 57-34 at the break. Kuzmenko and Djurisic were going basket for basket in the early going of the second half but Lokomotiv still trailed 63-44. Mega then went on an 11-2 run as the lead swelled to 74-46. And the Serbian side tallied the final six points of the quarter and led 84-53 after 30 minutes. Mega did not let up at all as Lokomotiv could not get closer than 25 points in the closing minute of the fourth quarter.
