La Caja de Canarias beat KK Zadar 103-76 to win the 7th spot in the London Nike International Junior Tournament on Saturday afternoon in London, England. Both teams arrived to the game after finishing the groups stage without a win, and fought to take the flight home with a sweet taste. Canarias showed its superiority in the second half when it scored 63 points and took over the game. Jonay Cazorla was the top scorer of the winners with 21 points in addition to 14 rebounds and 5 assists, David Delgado added 18 points, Christian Diaz scored 17 points while Adrian Batista totalled 13. Emilio Banic had 14 points and 7 rebounds for Zadar, Franko Sango added 12 and Josip Micic finished with 10. Zadar enjoyed the better start, and took a 5-16 lead after 8 minutes. Canarias combined a couple of three point plays to finish the first quarter down 18-25, but waited 5 more minutes before taking the lead in its hands following a three pointer by Batista to write a 33-32 advantage. The close score survived till the break, when Zadar found the way to take the lead again, 40-41, but starting the second half just one team was able to display its true game. Zadar didn't score a field goal for over 7 minutes, and saw Diaz lead Canarias to a 14 point lead after 30 minutes, carrying to extend the lead as time passed until the final buzzer.
