Banca Sella Biella finished the London Nike International Junior Tournament in the 5th place after an overtime 101-92 win over BC Khimki Moscow on Saturday evening in London, England. Khimki forced the overtime from the charity stripe with one second on the game clock, but saw Biella take over the game in the extra period. Niccolo De Vico posted 36 points followed by Eric Lombardi with 14 points, William Magarity added 12 while Stefano Stassi and Pietro Danna scored 10 each. Khimki saw 17 points by Maxim Sakharov, Aleksander Zakharov added 14 and Alexander Balakirev finished with 12. De Vico was on fire from the tip off and scored 14 points in the first quarter already to give his team a 22-14 lead after 10 minutes. Sakharov and Roman Afanasyev took over the game in the second quarter to give Khimki a 42-43 lead at the break, as the teams went neck-to-neck throughout the entire third quarter as well. Late in the last quarter it seemed as Khimki will take over the game, with a 74-80 lead less than 4 minutes to play, and later 79-84 inside the last minute, but De Vico, Danna and Lombardi wrote 7 points in a row to make a last rush come back. Sakharov tried to tie, but missed and Zakharov grabbed the offensive rebound and with a second on the game clock was sent to the line. He hit both attempts, and sent the game to another 5 minutes tied at 86-86, but Biella didn't allow more than that. The same trio of De Vico, Danna and Lombardi went on a 12-2 run, right after the tip off and sealed the 5th place race.
