Head Coaches

LEIBENATH, THORSTEN
Ratiopharm Ulm
"I am very happy about beating Asvel Villeurbanne. It is a very strong team with a special mix of young and experienced guys. We did a great job slowing them down. We had the game under control most of the way. Defense, self-confidence and commitment was way better than in our first games in the German league."
VINCENT, PIERRE
Asvel Villeurbanne Lyon
"Our biggest problem was to defend their transition game. We gave Ulm too many easy baskets. That made them be confident to take big shots in the end. We were too emotional and could’t control what we did."

Players

LONG, CAMERON
Ratiopharm Ulm
"It was a tough battle and we fought it to the end. Asvel is a very good team but we hit some big shots at the end. Especially Keaton Nankivil did. He kept his confidence and hit three three-pointerss in the final quarter. It was not all perfect tonight but it is a very good start in this Eurocup season."
WRIGHT, CHRIS
Asvel Villeurbanne Lyon
"Ulm hit some shots – not only in the end. They had a couple of big plays, and ones and things like that. Ulm is in the Eurocup for a reason – we didn`t underestimate them. I think we are a better team – but they won."
