Julius Jenkins added 17 while Rickey Paulding had 13 for the hosts. Urtasun and Thamed allowed Seville to get a 19-27 margin after 10 minutes. A three-pointer by Radicevic soon boosted the guests' lead to 28-42, enough for Seville to keep a 39-48 margin at halftime. Willy Hernangomez and Thames helped Sevilla regain a 46-60 margin but Paulding, Jenkins and an unstoppable Aleksandrov allowed Oldenburg to get within 70-74 with 4 minutes left. A big basket by Pullen and a three-pointer by Berni Rodriguez allowed Seville to put the victory on ice.

Back-to-back three-pointers by Radicevic allowed Seville to get an early 4-8 lead. A three-point play by Philipp Neumann and a basket by Paulding kept Oldenburg within 9-10. Seville kept finding points through its guards, as Thames and Pullen soon made it a six-point game, 11-17. Jenkins followed free throws with a layup but Urtasun, Thames and Dave Watts allowed Seville to make it a double-digit game, 17-27. Jenkins brought Oldenburg within 19-27 after 10 minutes. Back-to-back baskets by Urtasun and Thames boosted the guests' margin to 19-31. Aleksandrov tried to change things for Oldenburg and a three-pointer by Paulding ignited the crowd at 26-35. Pullen and Oriola stepped up for Sevilla and another triple by Radicevic kept the guests way ahead, 28-42. Neumann and Tywain McKee brought Oldenburg within single digits, 39-48, at halftime. Jenkins struck from downtown after the break but Hernangomez and Kristaps Porzings combined for all points in a 0-6 run that restored a 42-54 Seville lead. Aleksandrov stayed on fire with consecutive baskets but Thames and Hernangomez soon made it a 14-point game, 46-60. Aleksandrov - who else? - nailed back-to-back three-pointers and got help from McKee to bring Oldenburg a bit closer, 57-65, after 30 minutes. Derrick Byars sank a triple and a rainbow jumper by Urtasun gave the guests a 59-72 edge. Paulding and Jenkins combined for all points in an 8-0 run and a layup by Aleksandrov made it a four-point game, 70-74. Pullen scored in penetration and a three-pointer by Rodriguez sealed the outcome, 71-79, in the next-to-last minute.

"We did not get the start we wanted, so we are all disappointed. This was not the reaction we wanted after we lost in the league on Sunday. Although we did not play well, we still had the chance to win this game, which makes it even harder to lose in the end. In the first half we allowed our opponents to score 48 points; that is too much. Seville played good and hit tough shots, but we did not follow our own defensive strategies. We could not stop their pick-and-roll and could not pressure their guards. When we had the chance to come back into the game, we committed individual mistakes. If you want to advance to the next round, you have to win your home games, now we have to steal one on the road."
