Alvydas Zarskus - JT Lietuvos Rytas - Final Four Istanbul 2012Lietuvos Rytas marched proudly into the title game of the 10th Nike International Junior Tournament with a 105-69 defeat over Crvena Zvezda on Saturday afternoon at Abdi Ipekci arena in Istanbul, Turkey. The two teams took the floor knowing the winner will advance to the final but Rytas took over the game early in the game and finished on top of Group A with a 3-0 record while Zvezda fell to 2-1. Augustinas Jankaitis had 30 big points and 11 rebounds for the winners followed by Tautvydas Jodelis with 17, Alvydas Zarskus with 16 and Evdinas Seskus with 13. Dusan Ristic collected 21 points and 10 rebounds for the losing side and Nikola Rebic added 10. Rytas will wait for the Group B winner to learn about its opponent in the finals. Rebic led Zvezda to an early 2-6 lead but saw Rytas reply with a 27-5 run that decided the game much earlier than expected. Jankaitis muscled his way to the rim time after time and Rytas maintained the big gap for the rest of the game, all the way to the final.
